Nihon TV, the most popular Japanese commercial TV channel, will broadcast a series of reports on Croatian in November. In September and October, this television station’s team took a 22-day tour of the entire Croatia, the Adriatic coast from Istria to Dubrovnik, and the continental part of the country all the way to Vukovar in the east.

Japanese tourists have been discovering Croatia over the past few years, so the number of guests from the country has been on a constant rise. This is also confirmed by official statistics that say that the number of Japanese tourists in the first seven months of this year almost doubled (a 96-7 percent growth) as compared to last year. Japanese tourists have so far expressed special interest in Dubrovnik, and the said series of TV shows should be a powerful marketing tool for their attraction to other, also exceptionally attractive tourist parts of the country. As the Croatian National Tourist Board has its office in Japan and has been more and more focused on promotion on this market, a further growth in the number of visitors from this country is expected.
